Common Questions.
IV THERAPY
WHAT IS INTRAVENOUS (IV) HYDRATION? WHY DO I NEED IT?
IV Hydration is one of a kind in which it delivers directly into the vein and allows 100% direct bloodstream absorption thus bypassing the stomach. This allows patients to receive greatest benefits of vitamins, medications, amino acids, minerals, and antioxidants delivered by an intravenous catheter.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE IV INFUSION PROCESS?
Your visit starts off with a medical assessment and history obtained by one of our licensed registered nurses. You will have your vital signs taken and the history is reviewed by our nurse practitioner. We then determine if you are a candidate for IV therapy. If you are, an IV will be started and you can choose an infusion from our selection.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Most of our IV infusions last 30-60 minutes depending on the drip and your health history. All clients will have to complete forms prior to any infusion. Secondly, there is a quick medical screening to ensure the safety of our clients. Should you have limited time shots can be administered in minutes or just wanting a quicker boost!
IS IV THERAPY SAFE?
All vitamins and nutrients used are FDA approved and go through high levels if testing. Every IV therapy treatment is administered by a registered nurse and performed under a medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, vital signs are recorded, and health history is evaluated. After the treatment ends, the client can resume most activities and daily responsibilities immediately.
IV HYDRATION VS ORAL VITAMIN INTAKE
We are firm believers that hydration via oral intake is just as essential as the intravenous route. Our services are meant to assist our clients in supplementing your recovery process; IV Hydration is not meant to replace oral hydration. In addition, IV hydration provides a quicker and more effective method than the oral route and that is the service we want to provide. It’s a quicker way to help your body recover so you can get on your way.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET IV INFUSIONS?
The frequency of treatments will depend on your individual health goals and outcomes. For preventative health and wellness, most clients begin with 1-2 infusions per month to help balance vitamin and hydration levels.
WHAT IS A SHOT BAR?
A shot is when you are administered vitamins, nutrients, medications, and or antioxidants of your choice by injection directly into the muscle (Intramuscularly (IM). This is a quick process and typically only takes a few minutes. IM shots can be administered on the same day as IV drips or in between IV infusion visits.
WHO WILL BE ADMINISTERING THE IV THERAPY?

Prior to services an in-depth screening process is completed by the Nurse Practitioner to ensure that each patient is qualified for services.
DOES IT HURT?
Normally, there is a little pinch where the IV is inserted. However, at the client request, we can numb the site with a topical anesthetic prior to receiving any injection.
WHAT ARE THE RISK?
As with any invasive procedure, there are always risks. Our team have been properly trained to provide IV services in a way that minimizes the risk of infection to the IV site. We provide our clients with the proper education on how to treat that IV site post infusion and it is up to the client to follow these instructions.
